Michael Ringel

Fellow, Growth Through Multiplex Innovation

Michael Ringel is a Managing Director and Senior Partner with more than 20 years’ experience, and BCG’s Global Leader and BHI Fellow for Growth and Multiplex Innovation.

Michael has focused on improving innovation across strategy, operations, and organization, working mainly in healthcare, but also across other innovation-driven industries. Michael is a frequent writer and speaker on innovation topics, with articles in academic journals, and a TED talk on external innovation.

In addition to his focus on innovation, Michael has a focus on aging biology, including time spent as Head of Business Development at Life Biosciences.

Michael has a B.A. summa cum laude in biology from Princeton University where he graduated #1 in the department, a Ph.D. in biology from Imperial College (NSF and Fulbright Fellowships awarded), and a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School.

He is married with three children, and enjoys playing music as well as travel. He Chairs the Board for The ATOM Consortium and is the Science representative on the Board of Hevolution Foundation, Inc.
